How many Sprites are there in Fortnite?
There are 41 Sprites in the game right now, and 178 variants once you count every style separately. Both numbers come straight from the live catalogue on this page and change whenever Epic adds a drop.
How do you get Sprites?
Sprites are found in chests during a match. Picking one up is not enough — you have to extract while carrying it. Extract successfully and it is added to your collection permanently; die with it and you keep nothing.
Do variants have to be found separately?
Yes. Each style is its own find, in its own chest, with its own extraction. Owning the Base version of a Sprite gives you no progress at all toward its Gold, Gummy, Galaxy, Holofoil or Cube version.
Which Sprite variant is the rarest?
Galaxy and Gummy sit at the bottom of the drop table, and Holofoil is scarce for a different reason — it arrived partway through the season, so it exists for only a fraction of the roster. Cube is rarer still by availability: only a handful of Sprites have one at all.
Can you trade Sprites?
Yes, and it is the realistic way to finish a collection — chasing one specific Galaxy variant through random chests can take a very long time. Sprite Catch shows you which collectors already own the variant you are hunting and lets you agree the trade in chat.

How do I track which Sprites I already have?
Open the checklist and tick each variant as you extract it. The tracker keeps a running completion percentage per Sprite and for the season as a whole, tells you what finishing it costs in Sprite Dust, and separates the ones you own from the ones you still have to master. If you already track your collection somewhere else, you can paste that export in and tick the lot in one go.
Is Sprite Catch free?
Completely. No ads, no paid tier, and nothing in the app can be bought with money at all — the purchase path was removed in September 2026, so the profile decorations that used to cost money are earned now. The browser tracker needs no account either: your collection saves in your own browser.
Do I need an account to use the tracker?
Not on the web. The browser tracker stores your collection locally and sends nothing to a server. If you later install the iPhone or Android app, a transfer link moves your progress across without ever putting it online.
When do new Sprites come out?
Drops land on Thursdays. This site rebuilds against the catalogue after each one, and the app pushes a notification the moment new Sprites become catchable.
Is there a Fortnite Sprite bot for Discord?

What is the rarest Fortnite Sprite variant?
By how few Sprites have it rather than by drop chance: Quack is the thinnest style in the game and is not found in chests at all — each one is a Sprite Mastery reward. Gem and Cube are the rarest of the styles you can actually find, and Galaxy is the one most players chase. Each style has its own page listing every Sprite that comes in it.
