Mark your Sprites, in Discord

One panel per Sprite, every style on a button with that Sprite's own artwork on it. Tap Gold and it is ticked — no form, no website, no account. Switch to Mastered mode to tick the second layer, and every Sprite in the season is one tap away in the menu underneath, with how far off finishing it is written beside its name.

The panel is ephemeral: it appears for you, in the channel you ran it in, and nobody else in the server sees it.

A list of everyone who owns the Sprite you want is a list of people who mostly say no. So /whohas ranks the other way round: it looks at what each of them is missing, and puts the collectors you can make a real deal with at the top.

Private rooms

Do the swap somewhere quiet

Press Trade and the bot opens a private thread with the two of you in it. It opens with both halves of the deal already worked out — what you have that they need, what they have that you need — so the negotiation starts at the interesting part.

Nobody else in the server is added, and either of you can close the room when it is done.

A running table of who in the server has caught the most, and — the part people actually argue about — the list of variants nobody here has at all.

It is the reason a server keeps the bot. One member tracking a collection is useful; a whole server closing the same gaps is a thing to turn up for.

No app. No account.

You can mark, search and trade with nothing installed. Your marks are saved against your Discord account, and they stay there whether or not you ever download anything.

Just start ticking

Run /sprites in any server that has the bot. There is no sign-up step, no email and no password — the first tap is the first thing you do.

It follows you

One collection, not one per server. Tick a Sprite in one server and it is already ticked in the next one, because the marks belong to you rather than to the channel.

Link it later, or never

Run /link if you get the app. Everything you already ticked comes with you, and from then on the app and Discord are one collection that syncs both ways.

Linking is optional and reversible. Nothing about the bot stops working if you never do it.

For server owners

The whole permission list, in plain words. It is short because the bot asks for very little, and it asks for very little because it does not need any more than this.

What the bot can do

  • Post in the one channel you pick.
  • Create a private thread for two people who are trading.
  • Add those two people, and only those two, to that thread.
  • Close a trade room once the trade is finished.

What the bot cannot do

  • Read your members' messages.
  • See your member list.
  • Manage, add or remove roles.
  • Create, rename or delete channels.
  • Kick, ban or time anybody out.

It requests no privileged intents and holds no gateway connection. The bot is not sitting in your server listening; it hears from Discord only when somebody in your server runs one of its commands.

Add it, run /spritecatch setup, pick the channel it should live in. That is the whole thing — there is no dashboard to configure and no account to make.

Questions

Is it free?

Yes, and it stays free. There are no ads, no subscription and no premium tier — and nothing in Sprite Catch, the bot or the app, can be bought with money at all. There is no shop to spend real money in, so there is nothing to upsell you to.

Do I need the app?

No. Marking, searching and trading all work in Discord with nothing installed and no account made. The app is the bigger version of the same collection — a scanner, widgets, the full trade feed — but the bot is not a demo of it and does not stop working without it.

Is my collection public?

Only to the members of servers where you have actually used the bot. Somebody running /whohas in a server you have never touched cannot see you at all, and nothing about your collection is posted publicly, indexed or shared outside those servers.

Run /spritecatch privacy to turn that off. It stops your collection being matched to anybody, and deletes what the bot holds.

Can I use it in more than one server?

Yes, and there is nothing to set up twice. One collection follows you between every server that has the bot — tick a Sprite in one and it is already ticked in the rest.

Does it do anything in the game itself?

No, and it never will. The bot is a checklist and a way to find a trading partner. It does not redeem codes, it cannot grant anything in the game, and it never asks for an Epic account login — nobody should ever ask you for one, in a trade or anywhere else.

How do I remove my data?

Run /spritecatch privacy and choose to delete. Your marks and everything the bot holds about you go, in every server at once. If you have linked an app account, deleting the account there removes it as well — see the privacy policy for exactly what is stored and for how long.
